What the Day After Xmas Looks Like in Hawaii

sunny

Another fun, tiring day today. We did go to the Ko'Olina Lagoons for some beach time. This place is really great... you park, and walk up a grassy hill, and get this awesome view:

The last time I posted up Ko'Olina pictures, I should have put this picture to show you what the area looks like. There are four man-made lagoons right next to each other. #1 is for private use only, and 2-4 are for public use.

The ocean was much rougher today than it was the last time we all went out there. The waves were literally crashing onto the rocky shoreline and it was making these big WHOOMPing noises! It was really cool. I tried to get pictures of the resulting big sprays, but the kids were anxious to get moving.... here's what I did get:

Kids schlepping our beach stuff over to the next lagoon (we like #3 best).

The day after Christmas looks amazing, doesn't it??!

I sat on the beach for a while until I got hot, then went swimming. The water was chilly, but really crisp and refreshing. Later on the kids wanted me to go back in and THEN I thought it was freezing. LOL!
